Framework operation description
• When a requirement for bodywork or accident repair arises. The EA will contact the first ranked supplier for the relevant lot to carry out the repairs. If the first ranked supplier confirms that they do not have the capacity to complete the work within the required timelines, the EA will move to the second ranked supplier.
• Should the EA decide that any supplier on the framework does not have the capacity to repair a vehicle within the agreed timescales, they reserve the right to move to the second ranked supplier or another supplier in any of the other lots to ensure repairs are completed on time. Decisions will be based on the number of vehicles any supplier is already repairing for the EA and any backlog in return of vehicles the supplier is already repairing for the EA.
• Suppliers will be notified in advance of any decision to move to another supplier.
• The Supplier must provide a full breakdown of estimated costs and timescales for the repairs to the EA Fleet Manager or EA Fleet Contracts Manager, prior to any repairs commencing. The EA will confirm if the costs and timescales are acceptable and in line with tendered rates.
