NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (NHS GM ICB) is seeking to commission an Adult ADHD Triage Hub – Clinical Triage Service, with the aim to improve access to ADHD services and in response to the above issues and risks as well as engagement and consultation with the public.
The Adult ADHD Triage Hub will function as a direct clinical healthcare service delivering face-to-face triage assessments for adults referred with suspected ADHD, The scope of services will :
• Deliver safe, timely, and clinically robust adult ADHD triage
• Identify and escalate risk appropriately
• Improve referral quality and pathway efficiency
• Promote equity, autonomy, and whole-person care
The service must demonstrate:
• Reduction in inappropriate ADHD diagnostic referrals
• Improved prioritisation of complex and high-risk adults
• Improved identification of mental health and safeguarding needs
• Clear, person-centred triage outcomes communicated to patients and referrers
• Improved equity of access across GM localities
The service will provide holistic, multidisciplinary clinical triage to determine the most appropriate onward pathway for adults requesting an ADHD assessment, considering:
• ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions
• Mental health comorbidities
• Physical health risks relevant to ADHD treatment
• Substance misuse
• Safeguarding, psychosocial risk, and functional impairment
The service must work in close partnership with the Digital Front Door and While You Wait Resource for All-Age ADHD Referrals service provider, primary care, secondary mental health services, ADHD diagnostic providers, autism services, and voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations across GM.

The Adult ADHD Triage Hub will function as a direct clinical healthcare service delivering face-to-face triage assessments for adults referred with suspected ADHD across the geographical footprint of NHS Greater Manchester.
This procurement will follow the Competitive Provider Selection Regime (PSR)3. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of The Procurement Act 2023 Regulations do not apply to this award.
