Description
The Royal Parks is currently tendering the opportunity to provide Grounds Maintenance Services across several sites.
Lot 1 Hyde Park
Lot 2 Kensington Gardens
Lot 3 St James, The Green Park and Tower Garden
The sites have high visitor numbers and are iconic. This service will cover the provision of grounds maintenance and associated services in accordance with the objectives and requirement of the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23).
The scope includes but is not limited to: Routine and reactive grass cutting, lawn care, and turf management; Maintenance of hedges, shrubs, flowerbeds, and seasonal planting; Weed control; Litter picking, leaf clearance, and general grounds tidiness; Winter services; Stewarding at select events and sites; Associated inspections, reporting and compliance.

Description of how multiple lots may be awarded: There are 3 lots. No one supplier may be awarded in excess of 2 lots. The lots shall be awarded based upon the highest ranking score attained when suppliers submit across all lots.
Lot 1. The Royal Park Hyde Park
Description
Hyde Park is famous for its world-class events. It is the largest Royal Park in central London, there are many activities in this park, sporting, boating, relaxing in deck chairs, events such as Winter Wonderland and British Summer Time Concerts. Hyde Park has a fascinating and colourful past to discover. Hyde Park is also home to a rose garden, the Dell garden, extensive shrubberies and new for 2026, an Autumn Flower Garden. In addition, there is boating on the Serpentine. Hyde Park attracts a high number of local users, as well as international visitors 7 days a week throughout the year.

Lot 2. The Royal Park Kensington Gardens
Description
Kensington Gardens opens daily to visitors from 06:00 and closes at dusk throughout the year. Kensington Gardens is a major attraction for local visitors and tourists alike and has high levels of use, especially during the spring and summer. Kensington Gardens is designated as a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation in local planning policy on the basis of the habitats and wildlife it supports, with particular reference to birds including songbirds, waterfowl, mature trees and meadows.

Lot 3. St James’s Park, The Green Park and Victoria Tower Gardens
Description
St James’s Park and The Green Park attract visitors 7 days a week from dawn to dusk throughout the year. These parks do not close at night and many people may use the parks after dark, especially in summer. Victoria Tower Gardens closes at dusk. Two small, grassed, areas of Parliament Square also fall under the management of St James’s Park: Canning Green and Poet’s Corner.
